Dear Rhode Islander,

Rhode Island’s health care marketplace and website, HealthSource RI, is making a difference for Rhode Islanders.  In fact, since 2012, the uninsured rate in Rhode Island has dropped from 11% to 5%.

You can enroll in a health insurance plan today by visiting

New individuals and families must choose a plan and pay their first month’s premium by December 23, 2015 to ensure that their coverage begins on January 1, 2015.  If you are already enrolled in a health insurance plan through HealthSource RI, you can have your coverage automatically renewed by continuing to make your monthly premium payment, or you can shop for a new plan by visiting  Open Enrollment ends on January 31, 2016.

Customers can begin or renew their coverage online at, over the phone at 1-855-840-4774, or by dropping off their application at 70 Royal Little Drive in Providence, RI.  Although there will be no in-person enrollment assistance available at the drop-off center, HealthSource RI is sponsoring a number of enrollment assistance events throughout the state.  You can find a full calendar of events here.  You can also find a list of Certified Navigators who can also provide in-person assistance by appointment here. To receive guidance over the phone, you can call 1-855-840-4774.  The hotline is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:30am-5pm and Tuesday 8:30am-7pm.
