Climate Change: Will Congress Listen to the National Academy of Sciences?
When Congress received the report it commissioned, "America's Climate Choices," from the National Academy of Sciences in 2011, Congress failed to take action.
The report found that "climate change is occurring...and poses significant risks for a broad range of human and natural systems."
Senator Whitehouse took to the floor of the Senate to ask his colleagues to review the report's findings and to take action. He reminded them that we have not solved the problem of climate change and that we can not afford to ignore it.
