“At the last minute, Speaker McCarthy abandoned his extreme right and worked with Democrats who overwhelmingly helped pass a bipartisan Continuing Resolution to keep the United States government open and delivering for the American people. We maintained full funding and added $10 billion in disaster relief to support communities dealing with the devasting impacts of the climate crisis. While there is much more work to do to secure funding for Ukraine, this Continuing Resolution is a win for Rhode Islanders, and a win for our country.”
