Senate Internships

I am happy to offer internships in both my Providence and Washington, D.C. Senate offices. These internships are open to college-aged students, with preference given to Rhode Island residents.

Interns will be introduced to the legislative process through a variety of duties, including maintaining correspondence with constituents, conducting policy research, and assisting in the day-to-day operations of my office. Interns in the Washington, D.C. office will also be responsible for hosting tours of the Capitol complex for visiting Rhode Islanders, attending briefings and congressional hearings, and assisting our press office.

Internships are available on both a full- and part-time basis during both the summer and the school year. Our office offers paid internships to accepted applicants who will not receive funding through their college/university or an outside program. To apply, please use my online form:

Note that you will be asked to provide us with a cover letter, a copy of your resume, and one letter of recommendation. You will be contacted via email after you complete your application to submit your additional materials.
