Latest episode of Making the Case available now on Spotify and Apple
Washington, DC – U.S. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), Ranking Member of the Senate Judiciary Courts Subcommittee, yesterday released the second episode of season two of his podcast, Making the Case. In the new episode, Whitehouse is joined by U.S. Senator Adam Schiff (D-CA) to discuss President Donald Trump’s actual weaponization of the justice system, which comes after years of phony claims of “weaponization” to excuse his criminality.
“As an impeachment manager and House Chairman, Senator Schiff deftly prosecuted the lawlessness and corruption of President Trump’s first administration,” said Whitehouse. “We’re lucky to have him now in the Senate, and even luckier to have him on this next episode of Making the Case. Tune in as Senator Schiff and I detail the real weaponization of the justice system targeting Trump’s political enemies to win the President improper political favors.”
The second episode of season two of Making the Case is now available onSpotify, Apple Podcasts, and other podcast platforms.
Last month, Whitehouse warned Attorney General Pam Bondi against following President Donald Trump’s directive to investigate his political enemies, reminding the Attorney General that she testified under oath to Congress that she would reject directives “to start with a name and look for a crime” and would “not target people simply because of their political affiliation.”
In March, Whitehouse launched an inquiry into the potential law enforcement misconduct around the Environmental Protection Agency’s climate funding freeze, questioning Attorney General Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel about the apparent misuse of law enforcement resources to pursue President Trump’s political aim.
